It is a must to listen to the client and design a functional and inspiring space with the essence of the homeowner at the core of the design.

DESIGN PRINCIPAL
I had a design “aha moment” when I was a little girl. I was given a two-story wooden dollhouse for Christmas. It was dark brown and had a total of four rooms. I wanted to make the dollhouse a happy place for my dolls, so being a creative child, I made things for the dollhouse. I needed wallpaper and carpet, so I used regular paper, colored it bright, cut those pieces to fit into the four rooms, and taped them into place. I then used small toys as makeshift furniture. My dollhouse was glorious…this is where the idea of creating a home for someone else began. It was at that moment that my decorating hobby was born. As I grew up, I continued to rearrange my room, our house, and anything that I could lay my hands on. Decorating was easy and natural for me, but I had no idea that it would evolve into a career.
Fast forward to adulthood, I have always loved the connection between homes and people. There is just something special about a home. Our homes are a small part of us. I sold real estate for years and as I connected clients to their dream homes, I was more excited with visions of new spaces for the new homeowners, I mean I was completely sidetracked by all the possibilities of a grand home. My passion was always in design, so I left real estate to pursue a design career and have been designing gorgeous homes for over a decade.
My personal philosophy is that our home should inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves. Home reflects our soul and home is where we live our personal stories. Good design is having vison and being original. Good design is personal. Good design requires connection and personal service. Good design is life changing.
I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. I am an Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), and an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Inspiration is everywhere. I am inspired by people, their lives, their dreams, and their experiences. I love creating a home that my clients can’t wait to come home to.
